MACUL works with state, regional, and national partners involved with education and technology.

State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA)

SETDA is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit membership association launched by state education agency leaders in 2001 to serve, support and represent their emerging interests and needs with respect to the use of technology for teaching, learning, and school operations. Our current work is guided by a strategic plan, Leading, Inspiring and Empowering: The 2017-20 SETDA Strategic Plan, adopted by the SETDA Board of Directors in October 2016 after extensive consultation with the membership.

Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan (REMC)

The Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) and the Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan (REMC) have a formal partnership to develop and nurture cooperative, collaborative relationships having a mutual benefit for both organizations, their respective members, partners and schools throughout Michigan.

Through this partnership, REMCAM and MACUL will seek the development of collaboratively created and/or supported research and resources, the development of collaboratively created and/or supported professional development opportunities, and collaboration on projects that advocate the effective use of technology in education, particularly online/blended learning and digital learning resources.

New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE)

NYSCATE is a non-profit, professional organization representing more than 25,000 technology using educators and administrators in New York State. NYSCATE is involved in helping define statewide policy regarding the use of technologies in education.

NYSCATE is an ISTE Certified Authorized Provider.

Michigan Virtual

In September 2012 MACUL and the Michigan Virtual formed a formal partnership to engage in activities that mutually benefit both organizations.

These activities include, but are not limited to: support of the annual MACUL conference, the Student Technology Showcase, the annual Upper Peninsula conference, the MACUL Journal, the Michigan Virtual Online Learning Symposium and regional MACUL conferences held throughout the year. Visit www.michiganvirtual.org for more information.

Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

The mission of the MDE is “working to help each school be better so that every child will learn.” The Michigan Department of Education focus on educational technology includes the goal to develop students that are technologically literate learners. Resources on the MDE web site support educators, administrators, and parents and families. MACUL works closely with the MDE to support the effective use of technology in Michigan schools.

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®) is the premier nonprofit organization serving educators and education leaders committed to empowering connected learners in a connected world. ISTE serves more than 100,000 education stakeholders throughout the world. MACUL is a valued affiliate of ISTE and connects with more than 70 other affiliates to share best practices, increase service to members, and strengthen impact in their local education communities.

Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEA)

Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEA) is a statewide 503(c) non-profit organization dedicated to leadership in education through technology.  Formed in 1986 by a group of 30 educators, ICE has grown to over 12,000+ members comprised of teachers, technology coordinators, library media specialists, administrators, higher education representatives, school support staff and other stakeholders in Illinois education.
