Thursday, Aug 26th – A Michigan Panel Event: Google Workspace for Education Hosted by Google + CDW + Amplified IT

Join Google, CDW, and Amplified IT expert consultants along with a panel of K12 Google Admins this Thursday, August 26th in a discussion on the value of the different Google Workspace for Education editions. This live event will feature a breakdown of each edition and their unique features as well as a special Google promotion only for Michigan K12 and Higher Education educational institutions.

Technical leaders, representatives of Traverse City Public Schools, Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) , and the Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan (REMC) will be there to share how they are using their edition upgrades to support their teaching and learning environments as well as enhancing domain security for in-person and remote learning environments.

New #GoOpen Michigan Collection:  Future Proud Michigan Educator Curriculum

The Michigan Department of Education is providing resources that facilitate the recruitment into the education profession to grow and diversity the educator workforce and reduce educator shortages. The openly licensed lessons are intended for middle and high school grade levels. Check the collection out here.

Take a Free 2-hour SEL course Before Labor Day

MDE has launched an outreach plan: Children Matter. You Matter. Learn SEL! Part of this plan is asking educators to complete the Introduction to SEL online module hosted at Michigan Virtual. The goal is to have as many educators as possible, at minimum one leader and two to four teachers per school building, complete the module by September 6, 2021. The course is free, offers state continuing education clock hours (SCECHs), and takes around two hours to complete.

2021 SEPTEMBER REMC Virtual Courses

Kick off the school year with new skills and tools to engage students. Earn up to 10 Free SCECHs.

Take advantage of September’s Virtual Courses for all your back-to-school needs. It’s a great  time to learn a new skill in an instructor-led virtual course setting. Each course offers 10 free SCECHs, registration deadline is Friday, September 3rd. The REMC Virtual Courses offer an easy, convenient way for teachers to connect and collaborate from the convenience of their home. The Virtual Courses are free, offer free 10 SCECHs when completed, and are open to all Michigan school personnel. There are no SCECH fees because REMC SAVE’s vendor partners provide support for all REMC professional learning opportunities.
